Dalam acara puncak The Game Awards 2020, para pemenang dari tiap kategori telah diumumkan.

The Last of Us Part 2 didapuk sebagai game of the year versi The Game Awards 2020.

Game yang dikembangkan Naughty Dog itu, mengalahkan beberapa judul lain seperti, DOOM: Eternal, Final Fantasy Vii Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, dan Animal Crossing: New Horizon.

Dari kategori best mobile game, Among Us berhasil menyabet penghargaan tahun ini.

Among Us sukses menyingkirkan Call of Duty: Mobile, Legends of Runeterra, Pokémon Cafe Mix, dan game fenomenal Genshin Impact.

Tak melulu game, The Game Awards 2020 juga menghadirkan penghargaan untuk para pelaku esports.

Seperti misalnya best esports team yang dimenangkan oleh G2 Esports, dan best esports athlete yang dimenangkan oleh Heo 'Showmaker' Su dari League of Legends.
